We were very pleased to have Huemac join us in Feburary 2015 as a 4 month old puppy. Huemac is a beautiful standard xoloitzcuintle dog. This ancient breed of dog dates back to the Aztecs.

The unusual name for this breed of dog originates  from  the  Aztec  god  (Xolotl)  and  the  word  for  dog using Aztec language (Itzcuintli). Due to xoloitzcuintle being hard to pronounce this breed of dog is also known as the mexican hairless dog.

We thank Ute Schörnig from Qurra Tul Ain in Germany for allowing us to have Huemac.

Huemac is a standard Xoloitzcuintle which is the largest sized group of this breed. The xoloitzcuintle comes in the following three different size groups:

Miniature xoloitzcuintle: (9.75-13.75ins)

Intermediate xoloitzcuintle: (14.25-17.75ins)

Standard xoloitzcuintle: (18-23.5ins)
